Livingston has multiple travel options for getting into New York City or to the airport for travel!
Newark International Airport: Newark Airport is only 17 miles from Livingston, making it about a 20 minute drive to and from one of the largest airports in the nation.
Bus Options to New York City: There is a bus which goes directly to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, which is on 42nd street and 9th avenue.
There is another bus option, both from NJ Transit, that is located at W. Mount Pleasant at Harvest Lane that take you directly to Newark Penn Station, where you can access PATH trains to Jersey City, Hoboken and NYC.
Driving: Livingston provides easy access to major commuter highways, such as Interstate 78, Route 280, The Garden State Parkways & New Jersey Turnpike. The drive to New York City, without traffic, is under an hour!
Train: There is not a train route directly from Livingston to New York City/Penn Station. However, many neighboring towns do have such train routes, including Millburn, South Orange, Summit and Chatham, and many offer abundant parking around the stations, so that if you prefer to take the train, you can drive to the station and park during the day!
